Did you know?
In 2018, Atlantic salmon were observed in the Miminegash River again after fifteen years! Atlantic salmon need uninterrupted access to the sea for annual migration, clean gravel-cobble stream beds for spawning, and clean, cool water with plenty of cover to thrive. Miminegash River is currently the only south-draining river in West Prince with Atlantic salmon!

We wanted to give a shoutout to the Foundation of Conservation of Atlantic Salmon for supporting our Atlantic salmon project this year! Thanks to FCAS, we were able to install data loggers measuring temperature and water quality at 25 monitoring sites, improve water flow by notching 15 beaver dams, and replace 3 culverts to improve
